Switchboard, MD is pleased to welcome Jo Halstead as our new Director of Implementation. Though she is the newest addition to our service delivery team, Jo brings over 20 years of project management experience to the table, including 17 years in the healthcare and healthcare technology industries. With an MBA, PMP certification, and Lean Sigma Six Black Belt, Jo is uniquely equipped to enhance our implementation processes, ensuring they are both efficient and effective for internal teams and external stakeholders alike.

Jo’s focus at Switchboard, MD will be on refining and expanding our implementation strategies, with the goal of making it as easy as possible for clinical staff to focus more on the patient, and less on tedious administrative work.

A Central New York native, Jo has returned to North Syracuse after spending 13 years in South Florida. She brings her genuine passion for healthcare and technology to Switchboard, MD, and we look forward to the improvements she will drive in our operations.

What gives you confidence in Switchboard, MD’s ability to deliver successful implementations?

“During my early conversations with Switchboard, MD I was struck by the smart, thoughtful approach that everyone took towards solving a huge real-world problem, making life better for physicians and their staff, and understanding the value of creating an implementation that was an easy lift for clients who are already very busy. The most critical piece is that the product works, and the results are almost instantly apparent. That makes my work in implementations much more rewarding!”

How has your experience in healthcare influenced your approach to building a robust implementation process?

“I’ve been managing projects for many years, and always want to make the process of implementation as simple and straightforward for the client as possible. In healthcare, that’s even more critical as burnout, overwork and staff shortages are already a common challenge. I want to take work and stress off the client’s plate, not add to it. One of the most exciting things about joining Switchboard, MD for me is having the ability to use Lean practices to build out effective processes that keep everyone informed and the project moving forward in the most efficient way.”
