Case Study: Quick Wins in Discharged Not Final Billed

In March 2023, Marshfield Clinic Health System approached Switchboard, MD to assist with a Discharged Not Final Billed (DNFB) backlog that was stalled at 15 days of revenue. Despite significant effort, the backlog and metrics were now not moving at the same pace. The Health System sought immediate assistance to reduce DNFB by 50% to achieve industry-standard performance.
